Accident During Monterey Car Week
A serious accident involving a rare Lamborghini Murcielago and a Jaguar F-Pace SVR occurred during Monterey Car Week. The incident happened when these cars were moving in a group along with a McLaren. Police had to use an SUV to push the damaged Italian supercar off the roadway.
Event Details
During car week in Monterey, the number of supercars increases significantly, which unfortunately raises the probability of accidents. Footage has already emerged showing a rare Lamborghini Murcielago that may have driven its last mile. Although the powertrain likely remained intact, almost everything else on the car requires serious repair.
The LP640 is not an ordinary Murcielago. Lamborghini produced only a few thousand of these models, and this one is an even rarer Roadster version. It is considered one of the last truly analog supercars from Lamborghini. The car belongs to Sparq AI and was driven by a friend of the owner, while another employee was driving the Jaguar ahead.
Cause of the Collision
According to the owner, the driver of the Lamborghini failed to stop in time when the Jaguar F-Pace SVR ahead braked sharply. The Jaguar driver also hit someone in front, and the Italian supercar apparently did the same. Interestingly, the impact was so strong that it ejected the Murcielago’s rollover protection system from behind the passenger compartment. After that, the situation only worsened.

Police Actions
Officers used a police car to push the Lamborghini off the road, doing so quite decisively. In one shot, they are seen pushing the front of the car to the right using the bumper, and in another, they are pushing from the rear with the same bumper, where there was initially no damage.
Reaction and Consequences
Daily Driven Exotics happened to be near the accident site and filmed many shots. The video shows a conversation with the owner, who recounts that the police were nitpicking about his Montana license plates. Many states are cracking down on tax evasion through the creation of LLCs in Montana. In this case, the officers seemed to let the driver and owner go without further detainment.
Fortunately, no one was injured. The situation could have been much worse, even if it is another lost supercar, especially such a rare one.
This event serves as a reminder of the importance of caution on the roads, especially during large-scale events where many expensive and powerful cars gather. While the technical specifications of such machines are impressive, they also require high concentration and experience from drivers to avoid similar incidents.
