Porsche 911 received a very unconventional version for Ukrainian roads

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Porsche 911 Dakar was revealed. For the first time in history, the iconic sports car received a production off-road version. A total of 2500 of these coupes will be made, priced at $223,400.

Previously, similar Porsche 911s were prepared only for rallying, and in 1984 such a car won the Paris-Dakar marathon. In fact, the crossover Porsche 911 is named in honor of this victory.

The basis was the all-wheel-drive coupe Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. It features a plastic body kit, undercarriage protection, and off-road Pirelli Scorpion tires sized 245/45 ZR19 at the front and 295/40 ZR19 at the rear. Moreover, the ground clearance is significantly increased – adjustable between 175-205 mm.

The car also received a fixed spoiler and a carbon hood. Optional extras include a roof rack and the option to choose paintwork in the colors of the Paris-Dakar rally winner.

The interior is trimmed with leather and carbon fiber. It features sporty front seats, while the rear seats have been replaced with a safety cage.

The new Porsche 911 Dakar is equipped with a 3.0-liter 480-horsepower turbo six-cylinder engine. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 240 km/h. The Porsche 911 crossover also features a special off-road Rally mode and rear-wheel steering.
