The Jeep Cherokee Returns, But Now It Looks Completely Different

New 2026 Jeep Cherokee Model

Jeep has introduced an updated version of the Cherokee, which will hit the market in 2026. The car will retain its name, despite discussions about a possible change out of respect for the Cherokee Native American tribe. The new model will feature a more classic design with rectangular shapes, unlike its 2023 predecessor.

Key features include:

“The new Jeep Cherokee will be a key element of our strategy, offering customers more choice and innovation,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of Jeep.

Technical Details and Interior

Preliminary interior photos show that the model has received a modern control panel with a large multimedia system screen and touch-sensitive buttons for climate control. Mechanical switches for selecting drive modes are also provided.

The car will be built on the STLA Large platform, allowing for both traditional and electric powertrains. Production will begin in the fall of 2025.

Despite Jeep continuing to use the Cherokee name, the company is actively expanding its electric vehicle lineup, which could change the brand’s perception in the future. The new model is expected to be a key player in the midsize SUV segment.
