Updated 2027 Maserati Grecale: Powerful V6 and Electric Version
In the market for stylish and sporty European SUVs, there is no shortage of choice, but with significant updates, the Maserati Grecale may lure some buyers away from other brands.
For the 2027 model year, four different versions of the Grecale will be available. All three gasoline variants use a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 Nettuno engine, but with varying degrees of tuning. The base version, simply called the Grecale V6, produces 385 hp at 6500 rpm and 500 Nm of torque in the range from 2000 to 4000 rpm. It can accelerate to 96 km/h in 5 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h.

Modena and Trofeo Versions: More Dynamics and Power
Next in the lineup is the Grecale Modena V6. It has the same characteristics and performance figures but was developed to be more dynamic. Undoubtedly, the most interesting model in the lineup is the Grecale Trofeo, which produces 523 hp at 6500 rpm and 620 Nm of torque. It can reach 96 km/h in 3.6 seconds and accelerate to 285 km/h. All V6 models use an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Folgore Electric Version
The fully electric Maserati Grecale Folgore remains in the lineup for 2027. It uses a 105 kWh battery pack and a 400-volt electrical architecture, along with two electric motors. Its power is 542 hp and 819 Nm of torque. It can accelerate to 96 km/h in 4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 220 km/h.
Maserati also retains the fully electric Folgore version with 542 hp.
Design and Interior
Maserati claims the new Grecale draws inspiration from the design of the MC20 supercar, featuring a completely new front bumper that looks particularly convincing in the Trofeo version thanks to a modified grille. As before, the Folgore looks somewhat different, having a redesigned front end with an active grille that can open or close depending on thermal load.
Changes have also been made inside. For example, a new multifunctional steering wheel has appeared, available in leather and Alcantara. Maserati has also updated its digital clock, using real metal and a glass bezel, making it significantly more refined.
Technologies and Systems
Among other important features of the Grecale is an available air suspension for the Grecale V6 and Modena V6 versions, which provides five different levels of ground clearance depending on the driving mode. Maserati has also added a new driver and drowsiness detection system, removed many buttons from the cabin, and launched two ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) systems.
The Maserati Grecale update demonstrates the brand’s commitment to offering buyers a wide choice of powertrains, from powerful gasoline V6s to a modern electric vehicle. The focus on dynamics, especially in the Trofeo version, and the design updates inspired by the MC20 supercar, make it more attractive in the premium SUV segment. At the same time, retaining the Folgore electric version indicates adaptation to environmental trends, although its technical characteristics, such as the 400-volt architecture, may be less progressive compared to some competitors that are already transitioning to 800-volt systems. Overall, the updated Grecale looks like a balanced offering that combines Italian style, performance, and modern technology.
