New French electric car does not need to charge from the power grid

French startup Gazelle Tech presented a conceptual electric car. It is planned to be launched into production shortly. An innovative electric car that does not require charging from the power grid has been presented

The Gazelle electric car is a small B-class hatchback weighing only 700 kg. The fact is that its body is made of composite materials. The low weight allowed achieving a range of 180 km even with a small battery.

The electric car can be charged in 4 hours. The highlight of the Gazelle is a special cover. It not only protects the car but also charges it. The fact is that the cover is equipped with solar panels with an area of 4 sq. m.

During the day, they provide an additional range of 15 km, but for the production model, this figure will be increased to 30 km. That is, theoretically, you can drive short distances without connecting to the power grid.
