Honda engineers sometimes indulge themselves by creating racing lawn mowers. Their latest creation, the Honda Mean Mower V2, has made it into the Guinness World Records.
The lawn mower demonstrated a record acceleration on par with the best supercars – 6.29 seconds to 160 km/h. That’s faster than, for example, the Audi R8 or the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
The world’s fastest lawn mower is equipped with a 200-horsepower one-liter engine from a Honda CBR1000RR sport bike.
Its power-to-weight ratio is better than that of the Bugatti Chiron.
Honda representatives say that in tests, the Mean Mower V2 reached 243 km/h. They promise to soon break the lawn mower speed record as well. Currently, it is 217 km/h.
