Lamborghini has unveiled the open-top version of the Fenomeno Roadster supercar, which becomes the most powerful roadster in the brand’s history. The new model will be produced in a limited run of just 15 units, half the number of the Fenomeno coupe. The official Lamborghini website reports.
The model was created to mark the 63rd anniversary of the brand, founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963. The Roadster features a fully open body with no removable roof or folding panels. This allowed designers to alter the car’s profile and rework its aerodynamics.
Key features of the model include a lower side glass line, a carbon fiber spoiler on the windshield frame, and a new engine cover with two aerodynamic fins behind the seats, which also serve as rollover protection.
Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster Gets a Hybrid V12 with 1065 HP
The supercar is built on a carbon fiber monocoque and is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12. The gasoline engine produces 824 hp and 725 Nm of torque. Together with three electric motors, the total system output reaches 1065 hp.
Two electric motors are mounted on the front axle, and another is integrated into the 8-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox. The system is powered by a 7 kWh battery.
The roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The top speed exceeds 340 km/h.
The Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster Pays Homage to the 1968 Miura Roadster
The first example is finished in Blu Cepheus blue with Rosso Mars red accents and extensive exposed carbon fiber. Lamborghini stated that this livery is inspired by the colors of Bologna and the legendary 1968 Lamborghini Miura Roadster.
The interior features a black and red color scheme with contrast stitching and Y-shaped decorative elements. According to the manufacturer, despite the lack of a roof, engineers managed to maintain the downforce and stability levels of the Fenomeno coupe.
The price of the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster has not been officially disclosed. The model will continue the brand’s lineup of ultra-exclusive roadsters following the Reventon, Veneno, Centenario, and Sián Roadster.
