Introducing the new electric minivan Kia PV5: a futuristic rival to the VW ID.Buzz

Kia continues its push into the electric vehicle market by presenting the all-new electric minivan PV5, which is already available in Europe. The passenger version debuted first, followed soon by a utilitarian van variant.

The model is clearly aimed at fans of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, but it looks even more futuristic: sharp lines, a lowered window line, unique LED lighting, and sliding rear doors—everything to stand out on the street. The new model is 4.7 meters long.

Inside, it features minimalism with a digital touch: a small instrument panel and a 12.9-inch touchscreen that controls almost everything. The minivan is initially available in a five-seat configuration, with a six-seat version coming later.

The 2025 Kia PV5 is available in two variants:

  • 122 hp, 250 N·m — 0-100 km/h in 12.8 seconds, a 51.5 kWh battery, and a range of 288 km;
  • 163 hp, 250 N·m — 0-100 km/h in 10.7 seconds, a 71.2 kWh battery, and a range of 400 km.

Both models have front-wheel drive and a top speed of 135 km/h.

The PV5 Essential trim includes everything needed for comfortable living: climate control, keyless entry, a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, automatic braking, and lane-keeping assist.

Prices start at €37,946, making the new model quite attractive not only for urban families but also for commercial use.

The Kia PV5 is not just another minivan. It’s a statement of leadership in the segment of electric “boxes on wheels” that also look cool.
