Exceeding the speed limit by 50 km/h or more may result in license revocation

In Ukraine, they want to revoke licenses for exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h. The corresponding draft law No. 6214 has been registered in parliament.

The following changes are proposed:

📌 The fine for exceeding the speed limit in populated areas by more than 30 km/h will be 1700 UAH;

📌 For exceeding the established speed limits of vehicles in populated areas by more than 50 km/h, the offender will be deprived of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 3 to 6 months;

📌 For exceeding the established speed limits of vehicles in populated areas by more than 70 km/h, the offender will be deprived of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 6 months to one year.

Currently, exceeding the speed limit of vehicles by more than 50 km/h results in a fine of one hundred non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (1,700 UAH).
