In Abu Dhabi, the seventh generation of the new Nissan Patrol was presented. The large off-road vehicle has changed significantly. This was reported by Focus.
Like its predecessor (which was produced for 14 years), the Nissan Patrol remains the more affordable sibling of the Infiniti QX80, and in the North American market, the model will continue to be sold under the name Nissan Armada.
Design of Nissan Patrol 2025
The new Nissan Patrol has a profile similar to the 2025 Infiniti QX80. It has a classic two-volume silhouette with a high hood and thick triangular rear roof pillars. However, its wide radiator grille is different, the door handles are conventional (not retractable), and the headlights and taillights are installed vertically.
The new platform has increased body rigidity by 25%. In addition, in certain countries, an off-road variant with angled bumpers, additional underbody protection, and high-profile tires is offered.
Interior and specifications of Nissan Patrol 2025
The interior of the 2025 Nissan Patrol has significantly improved trim. Two 14.3-inch displays have been installed on the front panel – a virtual instrument cluster and a touchscreen multimedia display. A separate 9-inch touchscreen has replaced the climate control switches, and there is also a head-up display on the windshield.
The off-roader is available in 7- and 8-seat versions. The front seats can now be equipped not only with electric drive, heating, and ventilation, but also with massage. Other options include monitors for rear passengers, a 12-speaker sound system, around-view cameras with off-road mode, and the ProPilot semi-autonomous driving system.
New Nissan Patrol, specifications
The more efficient 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, developing 425 hp and 700 Nm, has replaced the 5.6-liter V8. Also available is a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated inline-six producing 316 hp. Paired with the engines is a new 9-speed automatic transmission. The off-roader can tow a 3.8-ton trailer.
Naturally, the full-time four-wheel drive with a low-range transfer case has been retained, and the new feature is an electronic rear differential lock. There is also an air suspension with variable (190-244 mm) clearance and 6 modes for different types of off-road terrain.
