American startup Slate, which received financial support from the founder of Amazon, has presented its first All-Terrain EV electric pickup truck. And this vehicle has already sparked a wave of discussion—not only because of its technical specifications but also due to its radical philosophy of minimalism.

In the base configuration, the Slate All-Terrain EV has no audio system, power windows, or luxurious trim—all for the sake of maximum simplicity, reliability, and durability.

The pickup is equipped with a 268 hp electric motor, all-wheel drive, and a 120 kWh battery, providing up to 515 km (320 miles) of range. Thanks to a 30 cm (adjustable) ground clearance and steel underbody protection, the vehicle is suitable for the most extreme conditions.

The starting price is $20,000 (in the top version with climate control, screens, etc. – $40k). The car’s design is laconic and strict, without excesses, but with maximum functionality. The Slate All-Terrain EV somewhat resembles the good old off-road vehicles, though there is also something of the modern Ford Bronco in it.
