Traffic Jams in Kyiv Turned Out to Be Among the Largest in the World

Kyiv ranked 12th in the world and third in Europe in terms of traffic congestion. These are the results of the global traffic jam ranking from TomTom. In the new study for 2019, 416 large cities from 57 countries were analyzed. Compared to last year, Kyiv worsened its position by 7% (to 53%) and surpassed the huge 20-million population of Mexico City. Traffic Jams in Kyiv Turned Out to Be Among the Largest in the World

Notably, among European cities above Ukraine’s capital are only Moscow and Istanbul.

The worst-ranked cities are Bengaluru, India; Manila, Philippines; and Bogotá, Colombia. Odessa is also in the TOP-20 of the ranking, taking 18th place. Kharkiv is in 29th place, and Dnipro is in 47th place.
