by In the first six months of 2019, 250.1 thousand used cars were registered for the first time in Ukraine. According to the association «Ukravtoprom», this is six times the figure for the first half of 2018. 
For reference, Ukrainians bought only 39.5 thousand new cars during this period. Although we certainly understand that most of these cars are Euro-blahs that received Ukrainian numbers. Evidence for this is the June figures.
19.2 thousand Ukrainians decided to buy a used car. This is a lot and 2.2 times more than last year. However, at the beginning of the year, when there was a 50% discount on excise duty, the market volumes were much larger, and the June result was the worst of the year. 
Interestingly, 46% of all imported cars are aged 5-10 years. Cars under 5 years old made up 19% of the market, while those over 10 years old made up 35%.
The most popular used cars in Ukraine for June were Volkswagen (2960 cars), Skoda (1742), and Renault (1588). According to the half-year results, the TOP-5 leaders of the secondary market are slightly different:
