In January, only 5.3 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine. This is almost half as many as in December (10.5 thousand), which means the market essentially collapsed.
Compared to January 2021, the decline is not as significant – 7%. The association “Ukrautoprom” explained that the drop is due to a car shortage caused by a lack of semiconductors.
In January, Renault returned to the first place with 904 cars sold. The second position belongs to Toyota (596 units), and the third to Chery (364).
