Despite the general trend of reducing sedan production, Cadillac has demonstrated growth in sales of this type of vehicle. Here are the key points:
Unexpected Sedan Growth
While many automakers are abandoning sedans, Cadillac is observing a revival of interest in the CT5 model. Last year, 16,561 units were sold in the USA, which is 11.4% more than before. This improvement is linked to the recent facelift, which brought the model a new front end and a modern 33-inch curved display with integrated Google services.
However, not all news is positive. Sales of the smaller CT4 model fell by 9.5%, to 5,616 cars. This model did not receive a similar update and will be discontinued in June.

Overall, Cadillac sold 22,177 sedans in 2025, which is 5.3% more than the 21,069 units in the previous year. The actual figure may be even higher, as deliveries of the luxury Celestiq electric vehicle were not included in the statistics.
The Future of the CT5 Model
Steady demand explains Cadillac’s decision to develop a new, second generation of the CT5 with an internal combustion engine. The project was announced last October, and production will continue at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant, which was initially planned to be converted into an electric vehicle production center.
There are rumors that the new model will be built on an updated rear-wheel-drive Alpha platform and may receive a sibling model, for example, a Camaro sedan.
Success of the Powerful V-Series

Enthusiasts warmly welcomed the powerful V-Series. General Motors did not provide details but noted that in 2025, Cadillac showed “the best V-Series sales in history.” This is not surprising, as the luxury brand is constantly expanding this lineup. The CT4- and CT5-V were joined by the Escalade-V in the summer of 2022, and the 615-horsepower Lyriq-V debuted last January.
In the fall, they were joined by the Optiq-V, which starts at $67,300. This all-wheel-drive crossover develops 519 hp, accelerates to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, and has a range of up to 278 miles.
Cadillac’s Overall Results

Cadillac’s total sales grew by 8.3% year-over-year, mainly due to strong demand for the Escalade. Sales of the ICE model surged by 20.4%, to 49,366 units, marking the best result since 2007.
The electric Escalade IQ is also showing good results: in 2025, it was purchased by 8,115 buyers. For comparison, Infiniti sold 13,590 QX80 models, and Lincoln sold 22,185 Navigators.
The Optiq and Vistiq electric vehicles showed moderate results: 12,187 and 7,879 units sold, respectively. However, these figures are significantly lower than the best years for the XT4 and XT6 models. XT5 sales fell by 6.5%, but a new model is expected in the second half of 2027.
Sales Statistics
The provided table details the sales dynamics of various Cadillac models in the USA for the fourth quarter and the entire year of 2025 compared to 2024. The total result is 173,515 cars sold versus 160,204 the previous year.
These figures indicate a complex, but overall positive transformation of the brand. On one hand, it successfully maintains interest in classic sedans and powerful models; on the other, it actively develops the electric direction. The success of the Escalade in both versions, gasoline and electric, shows that Cadillac knows how to update its icons while remaining relevant in the market. The future of models like the CT5 proves that even in the era of crossover dominance, there is a place for quality sedans if they receive modern technology and meet customer expectations.
