Sales of Honda’s Only Electric Vehicle in the US Increased Almost 10 Times

Honda Sales in the US: Electric Prologue and Other Models Show Growth

Honda recorded an increase in sales in the US for the first half of 2025. The success of the electric crossover Prologue was particularly noticeable, selling significantly better than last year. In June, 2,799 such cars were sold, which is 237.2% more than in June 2024. In total, 16,318 Prologue units were sold in the half-year, representing significant growth compared to the previous year.

However, despite the positive dynamics, the Prologue remains Honda’s least-selling model. This may indicate that many buyers are still not ready to switch to electric vehicles. Furthermore, in November 2024, Prologue sales were higher than now, which might be related to the initial hype around the new model.

Popularity of Other Honda Models

Besides the Prologue, the updated Passport and Odyssey models are showing good results. In June, 4,433 Passports were sold, which is 67.7% more than last year. The Odyssey minivan, which was updated about a year ago, also shows stable growth: 50,033 units were sold in the half-year, which is 27.4% more than in 2024.

Overall, in the first half of the year, Honda sold 670,765 cars in the US, which is 7.1% more than last year. The Acura division also recorded a 6.8% growth for the same period. These figures indicate that, despite certain difficulties with electrification, the brand continues to maintain stable positions in the market.

Recent data shows that Honda has managed to find a balance between traditional and new technologies. Although the Prologue has not yet become a sales leader, its dynamics promise potential for the further development of the electric lineup. At the same time, classic models such as the Odyssey and Passport remain reliable growth points for the company.
