Public premiere of the Dodge Charger EV with four doors in California

Dodge presented the four-door Daytona to the public for the first time last weekend at SpringFest 2025 in Southern California. The automaker had previously released several images of the car, but this is the first opportunity to see it up close in a special blue color called Bludicrous.

Compared to the proportions of the two-door version of the Charger, the four-door looks better.

Production of the new model is set to begin in May for the 2026 model year.

Dodge plans to release both electric and six-cylinder variants of the new Charger.

However, if the new two-door Charger can be perceived as a replacement for the Challenger, the four-door is a direct successor to the previous version of the Charger. No, it will not be sold with a V8, but you can choose between electric or, for those who lean towards gasoline engines, a turbocharged six-cylinder.

It would make sense to see a wide-body two-door Charger, but we will likely have to wait for such a model to be released.

Customers were initially promised deliveries of the four-door Charger starting in Q1 2025, but production was postponed to May, with the model launching in 2026.

Besides presenting this Bludicrous Charger, Dodge brought a black and red two-door model. This variant is made in black with matte black stripes with many small Fratzog logos and red stripes. The Dodge online configurator does not include these stripes, which is a shame because we think they integrate nicely with the car and could be popular among buyers if widely available.
