Curious about all this commotion, we took a Range Rover Sport in Firenze Red on an appropriate trip to see everything with our own eyes. Now it’s your turn to ask us about this powerful $130,000 SUV.

produces several different variants of the Sport, and ours turned out to be one of the best. Called the Autobiography, this trim is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 523 horsepower (390 kW) and 553 pound-feet (752 Nm) of torque. It sends power to all four 23-inch wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base price of this trim, without additional options, is $123,400.
What You Get for $130,000 (Besides a Big Engine)
Clearly, our test car did not leave the factory in the most basic configuration. This vehicle has several options, including the aforementioned wheels, which add $1,100 to the total. Additionally, it has a tow package ($1,200), a “premium interior protection and storage pack” ($740), a “cold climate pack” ($450), a “comfort pack” ($385), and built-in Wi-Fi ($360). Add a few other small items, and the total comes to $130,110 after delivery.

Simply put, this is not a bad car for a road trip, so that’s what we did. Land Rover was kind enough to allow us to cross state borders to test it in action. We covered hundreds of miles and are ready to tell all the good and not-so-good about this six-figure vehicle.
