Anniversary Edition of the Range Rover Sport
Land Rover has introduced a new special edition of the Range Rover Sport, named the Twenty Edition. This model was created to celebrate the vehicle’s 20th anniversary.
Design Features
The car is based on the Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE version. Its features include a black exterior trim package and special “Twenty” badges on the front wings. The model also received 23-inch wheels in gloss black or silver finish.
Three body colors are available: Santorini Black, Ostuni White, and Sanguinello Orange. The last color is special, as it pays homage to the 2004 Range Stormer concept car and the Vesuvius Orange color of the first-generation Range Rover Sport.
Interior and Equipment
The cabin features sport seats made of Ebony Windsor leather, borrowed from the Range Rover Sport SV version. They are complemented by forged carbon fiber details, a black suede headliner, illuminated sill plates, and a “Twenty” badge on the center console.
The model also has rich equipment: seats with heating, ventilation, and massage function for front passengers, heating and ventilation for rear seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and a Meridian 3D audio system with 18 speakers.
Other technological features include a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch multimedia system. Metal pedals and wireless smartphone charging are also present.
Technical Specifications
The car is equipped with a bi-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 523 horsepower. This allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).
Availability and Price
The Range Rover Sport Twenty Edition is already available for order. The starting price in the USA is $114,800. This is a significant amount, but it is justified for a celebratory version of a model that has achieved over a million sales in 20 years.
Historical Context
The Range Stormer concept car, referenced in the design of the new version, was introduced in 2004 and became an important step in the development of the Sport line. It set the direction for dynamic design and technologies that were later inherited by production models. Over two decades, the Range Rover Sport has undergone significant evolution, combining off-road capabilities with a high level of comfort and performance, allowing it to occupy a unique niche in the premium crossover market.
