Official images of the Bugatti Bolide have been presented. This is the most extreme Bugatti hypercar in history. While the track model is a concept car, we have no doubt that it will soon go into limited production.
The Bugatti Bolide looks like racing prototypes from Le Mans and is less than a meter in height. The main focus was on advanced aerodynamics – the downforce at 320 km/h is 1800 kg on the rear axle and 800 kg on the front.
Thanks to the use of carbon and titanium in its construction, the new Bugatti Bolide is very lightweight – 1240 kg. However, comfort is something to forget about – parts of the interior are unfinished and it features fixed bucket seats.
Nevertheless, the Bugatti hypercar is very fast.
Its 8.0-liter W16 with new turbochargers produces 1850 hp and 1850 Nm. The coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.17 seconds, to 200 km/h in 4.36 seconds, and to 300 km/h in 7.37 seconds.
The top speed exceeds 500 km/h and the Bugatti Bolide achieves this in 20 seconds. Moreover, the developers are confident that the car will complete a lap at Nürburgring in a record 5 minutes and 23 seconds.
