by In Ukraine, since November 25, more than 65 thousand cars with European plates have already been cleared through customs. As reported by the State Fiscal Service, the budget has already received 4.1 billion hryvnias from the legalization of ‘europlates’. 
Out of this number, 55 thousand cars resided in Ukraine violating transit and temporary import rules. Their owners paid 467 million hryvnias in fines or 8500 hryvnias per car. Most of the cars with European plates were cleared in Kyiv (10.8 thousand), Volyn (8.7 thousand), and Chernivtsi (6 thousand).
In one day alone, 3400 cars received Ukrainian numbers. The SFS reminds that owners of cars with foreign registration need to hurry. The 50% discount on excise duty is valid until February 22.
