A very rare 1969 Mercedes 600 Pullman is up for auction at RM Sotheby’s. The first-generation Mercedes 600 was already a rarity with only 2,677 cars made. For those who found it not exclusive enough, the Pullman limousine was offered.
Only 304 of these cars were produced, and among their owners were Mao Zedong, Pablo Escobar, Saddam Hussein, Josip Broz Tito, and Kim Il-sung. Jeremy Clarkson also owns a Mercedes 600.
The Mercedes limousine reaches a length of 6240 mm with a wheelbase of 3900 mm. Its seven-seat interior is trimmed with leather and wood, and features include air conditioning, power windows, an audio system, and a minibar.

Under the hood, there is a 6.3-liter 250-horsepower V8 with fuel injection. With a 4-speed automatic transmission, the top speed was 200 km/h. Comfort is ensured by a hydropneumatic suspension.
The starting price of the Mercedes has not been announced, but it will be at the supercar level, as more than $40,000 has been spent on repairs and maintenance of the limousine in the past couple of years.
