The new owner of the LuAZ-1301 reports that this is one of the early prototypes released in 1991. The car wandered all over Ukraine – it was in Melitopol, Cherkasy region, and Lutsk. It was in Volyn that the current owner acquired it.

This car is equipped with a 1.1-liter 51-horsepower engine, although later prototypes were equipped with 1.2-liter engines. Some cars even received air suspension with adjustable clearance. They also created a LuAZ pickup and an extended version for medical care.

The found LuAZ-1301 is not in the best condition. Its transfer case is removed, so it has only front-wheel drive. Moreover, for some reason, they attached the front end from a Tavria to the SUV. A rare Ukrainian SUV is being prepared for restoration
