The last time this 1969 Ford Mustang hit the roads was back in 1981. It should be noted that the car is in good condition, and its mileage is only 13,3 thousand miles (21,3 thousand km). 
The Ford Mustang Boss 429 was created as a production version of a NASCAR race car.
At the time, it was the most powerful Mustang in the lineup – its seven-liter V8 developed 375 hp (although rumor has it, this figure was understated to reduce insurance costs). The car accelerated to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds and covered a quarter mile in 13.7 seconds. 
In 1969, only 859 Ford Mustang Boss 429s were produced, and this version is now highly valued. So, the starting price of $166,000 is quite justified.
