According to the plot, during the crushing, it transforms into the new Jeep Gladiator. FCA representatives specifically emphasized that a broken-down, non-running Jeep Gladiator was chosen for the advertisement. The car was practically brought in from a junkyard, meaning it would have been crushed anyway.
