by Renault will conduct an interesting experiment – to create the world’s first town where only electric vehicles are driven. To achieve this, the French decided to give Renault Zoe electric cars to all residents of the small town of Appy. 
Appy is a remote town in the French department of Ariège. It is located in the mountains and its residents live in a kind of isolation, as it is far from the nearest populated area. Renault will provide electric Zoes to all 24 residents of Appy for three years.
Charging devices will also be installed in their homes, and one charging station will be equipped in the town. 
Renault Zoe drivers are only required to regularly share their experience of operating the electric vehicle. In this way, the French company will study the features of using electric cars in remote populated areas.
