According to the results of 2018, 86,613 new passenger and commercial vehicles were sold in Ukraine. The market fell by 1.2%, and in the fourth quarter, the decline was as much as 12%.
However, sales of used cars increased: officially (not including ‘euro-plates’), 147,983 were imported – almost twice as many as in 2017. In December, there were 3.4 used cars for every new car sold.
Renault has retained leadership for the fourth consecutive year.
In 2018, 10,835 new passenger and commercial vehicles of the brand were sold, and its market share was 12.5%. Toyota took second place (9,639 cars), and Volkswagen came third (6,860).
The most popular car of 2018 in Ukraine is the Renault Duster crossover, which captured 4% of the market. In total, 3,464 of these cars were sold, and at the end of the year, 435 Dusters were ordered by the Ministry of Health.
