One of the rarest Singer restomods based on the Porsche 911 964 generation has been listed for auction with an estimate of $3.45 million to $5 million. This concerns the 1990 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – DLS Turbo, known as “The Sepang Commission.” This is reported by RM Sotheby’s.

The model was created within the Singer DLS Turbo Services program, which the company presented to the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2023. The project is inspired by the racing Porsche 934/5 of the 1970s.

Every car in this series starts with a standard Porsche 911 of the 964 generation. The car is completely disassembled at Singer’s facility in the UK. After that, the monocoque body is inspected, reinforced, and prepared for the installation of more powerful equipment.

The restomod is based on the M64 flat-six engine, which was enlarged from 3.6 to 3.8 liters. The engine received four valves per cylinder, water-cooled cylinder heads, two turbochargers with electronic wastegates, variable turbine geometry, and an air-to-water intercooler.

The unit’s power is 710 hp, and torque is 750 Nm. The engine can rev up to 9,000 rpm.

“The Sepang Commission” is one of the 99 cars created within the DLS Turbo program. The car was commissioned by a collector who had previously collaborated with Singer on several restoration projects.

The car is painted in Wolf Blue. Numerous elements made of carbon fiber with a dark blue tint are used in the construction. Decorative elements are made of champagne-colored anodized metal, and the turbofan wheels are made of magnesium.

The interior is upholstered in Bone leather with Alcantara elements. The seats have perforated inserts and DLST embossing on the headrests.

The car comes with two sets of body elements:

  • a track kit with a large rear wing
  • a road configuration with a classic ducktail spoiler

All removable parts are stored in special cases. Before being handed over to the owner, the car underwent a break-in run at the Singer factory after the restoration was completed.

The auction will open on March 18, 2026. The final price is expected to potentially reach $5 million.
