Good news from Russia – finally at least someone there was not afraid to write an angry letter to the crazy one Putin (although they called him “respected”). This is about the workers of the “IzhAvto” plant, who sent Putin a collective letter regarding the situation at the plant and the possible transfer of Lada Vesta production from Izhevsk to Tolyatti.
The text of the appeal was published by the “Trade Union Organization ‘IzhAvto'”. Literally:
“It turns out that the top management of ‘AvtoVAZ’ is consciously deceiving us. They are planning to take our ‘Vesta’, move the equipment, and leave us with the promise to produce an electric ‘Largus’, which currently exists only on paper. It would require 2-3 years of hard work to launch it.”, as stated in the letter published by Gazeta.ru.
According to the statistics of electric vehicle sales in Russia, the market will not be able to accept more than a thousand such cars, which means the plant’s staff of 3,000 people will have to be reduced by 70%, the authors of the letter fear. By the way, ‘IzhAvto’ is currently idling due to a lack of components for the Lada Vesta.
It is worth recalling that recently, workers at the Russian plant where BMWs were assembled were advised to slightly change their profile – to collect strawberries. Or rather, strawberries, or whatever they are called…
