Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 33 examples of the Rolls-Royce Spectre — the brand’s first fully electric car — have been officially registered in Ukraine. And this is despite its price in Ukraine exceeding half a million euros.

The Spectre is not just an ultra-luxury coupe: it is a symbol of transformation, exclusivity, and faith in the future. The manufacturer claims a range of over 500 km, absolute silence in the cabin, and impeccable ride smoothness — everything that Rolls-Royce has long been famous for, but now with an electric heart.

In a country where ordinary citizens face daily challenges of security, economy, and infrastructure, the appearance of a car costing over half a million euros on Ukrainian streets sounds almost like madness. But this is reality. From time to time, such cars appear in reports, photographs, or on social media, as if reminding us that even in the darkest times, there is room for brilliance, luxury, and the desire to live on.

As our colleague from “Ukrainska Pravda,” Mykhailo Tkach, said: “In dark times, the light from a brand new Rolls-Royce is very visible.” And this phrase has become a metaphor: the Spectre truly challenges the circumstances, contrasting with the reality of wartime.
The 33 owners of these cars in Ukraine are not just premium-class clients. They are people who have retained the ability to afford ultra-luxury in times of anxiety and instability. Who they are — businessmen, investors, or TCC officers — will remain a mystery. But the fact remains: their Rolls-Royce Spectre cars have already become part of the urban landscape of a Ukraine at war.
