The Toyota Prius and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV police hybrids are far from the most expensive cars in the modern Ministry of Internal Affairs fleet. Recently, a Mercedes S63 AMG with blue license plates was spotted in the capital.
Our reader sent us the photo of the Mercedes. Judging by the license plates, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG was registered in Kyiv no later than 2015 (that was when the Ministry of Internal Affairs had such sample plates).
Of course, this is a car of the previous generation, but it’s still fast and not cheap. The charged Mercedes S-Class W221 sedan is equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with a power of 544 or 571 hp.
In the first case, the acceleration to 100 km/h takes 4.5 s, and in the second one – 4.4 s. The maximum speed of the 544-hp version is limited to 250 km/h, while for the 571-hp version the limiter triggers at 300 km/h.
Like all AMG Mercedes, the S63 received upgraded suspension and steering, as well as reinforced brakes. The car can be recognized by its body kit, four exhaust pipes, and 19-inch wheels.
