by Today, AvtoVAZ has stopped the production of the Lada Niva Legend – both the three-door and five-door versions. For Ukraine, this may mean that either Russia is preparing for something one does not want to think about, or it’s simply related to the shortage of components.
The assembly of the five-door Lada Niva Legend, which resumed in mid-January after a long break, has now been stopped again. The models have long been predicted to retire, but AvtoVAZ repeatedly postponed the farewell with the model, which “conflicts” with another five-door SUV Lada – the Niva Travel.
As reported by Motor, it was previously announced that due to the insufficient number of components, AvtoVAZ intends to stop production weekly until March. This concerned two lines – SKP Kalina (Lada Granta) and SKP Niva. The latter was planned to be put on hold for one of the five shifts a week.
