by Tuning ZAZ can sometimes surprise even us. Recently, we wrote to you about an electric Tavria with a power bank in the trailer, and now it has become known that there is an even more bizarre ZAZ-1102. 
This 1989 Tavria not only looks like a car from Japanese anime but also surprises with its contents.
Its engine is rotary-piston, like in the Mazda RX-8. Although it should be clarified that the engine itself is VAZ’s (yes, at one time rotary Ladas were made in Togliatti), but with parts from the same RX-8. 
Moreover, a turbocharger is installed, so now 310 hp is extracted from a 1.3-liter volume.
The drive remains front-wheel, so starting in a ZAZ with such power is probably very fun. And the engine sounds fantastic! 
Since almost all body panels are fiberglass, the Tavria has become very light and performs well in drag racing.
