Nissan and Roush Introduce a New Off-Roader
Nissan, in collaboration with Roush Performance, has introduced the updated 2026 Frontier PRO-4X R pickup truck. This model received a number of upgrades to improve off-road capability, including a 2-inch lift suspension and a new design.
Among the key changes are titanium exterior elements, red tow hooks, and special 17-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, embroidered “R” logos were added to the headrests, and the multimedia system was updated.
Technical Features
The main innovation is a new off-road suspension from Ohlins, which provides better approach/departure angles and comfort off-road. However, the base 3.8-liter V6 engine remains unchanged – 310 hp and 381 Nm of torque.
The starting price for the new model is $47,960, which is $8,110 cheaper than its competitor, the Ford Ranger Raptor. The manufacturer emphasized that the model is positioned as an affordable alternative to premium off-roaders.
