Characteristics and prices of the Ukrainian electric car LUAZ

At the Com Auto Trans exhibition in Kyiv, the presentation of the new LUAZ took place. The well-known Ukrainian model was decided to be revived in the form of a compact electric pickup. This is reported by Focus. The new LUAZ is positioned as a successor to the famous LuAZ models of the 70s and 80s, although the company has no relation to the Lutsk automobile plant. The pickup is built around the body of the Chinese company Hebei Kaiyun Motors, but it also includes Ukrainian components – frame, seats, glass, and battery. The LUAZ pickup will be available in a two-door ‘Farmer’ version and a four-door ‘City’ variant. The LUAZ dimensions are as follows: Length – 3475 mm; Width – 1375 mm; Height – 1550 mm; Wheelbase – 2315 mm; Weight – 510 kg. In the cabin, a digital dashboard and a multimedia system with a touchscreen display were installed. In addition, the LuAZ electric car received a rearview camera. A 5 kW (6.8 hp) electric motor is installed on the rear axle. The new LuAZ belongs to category L7e, which means its maximum speed is limited to 50 km/h. A four-wheel-drive version is expected to appear later. The 6.14 kWh battery allows you to travel 100 km without recharging. Up to three such modules can be installed, increasing the range to 300 km. The starting price of LUAZ is 190,000 hryvnias, but for this money, the Ukrainian electric car is sold without a battery (it can be purchased for 45,000 hryvnias per block or rented).
