Revealed Secrets of the New Electric Sedan from Mercedes-AMG

First Photos of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door EV Interior

Spy photos have for the first time captured the interior of the upcoming electric version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door. The images reveal a sporty steering wheel and a separate curved display reminiscent of the concept car. The vehicle will be built on the AMG.EA platform, and its three-axle electric motors can output over 1300 hp.

Although many interior elements are concealed by black fabric, the photos show a steering wheel with a flat bottom, upholstered in leather and Alcantara. It resembles the one installed in the regular AMG GT and even has steering wheel paddles. The center console differs from the conceptual version – a row of silver buttons has appeared here.

Exterior and Technical Features

Externally, the prototype showcases LED headlights with star-shaped elements, a wide lower radiator grille, and aerodynamic wheels. The door handles are hidden, and the roof has a smooth sloping curve. The round-shaped rear lights are reminiscent of those on the concept.

The AMG.EA platform uses a combination of aluminum, steel, and composite materials to achieve a lightweight and highly rigid body.

The production version is expected to feature an improved battery system and three powerful electric motors. In the concept, such a powertrain provided over 1341 hp, promising impressive dynamic characteristics.

Despite the production model differing from the concept, it has retained its key features. The manufacturer is clearly trying to combine innovative design with traditional elements familiar to buyers of premium cars. The launch of the new model could significantly impact the competitive landscape in the high-end electric vehicle segment.
