A true dream for car collectors has appeared on the US real estate market — an estate with a private auto museum, a service station, a gas station, and even a personal mechanic. And all this for $125 million.

The residence is located in California, near the town of Cottonwood Canyon. It was built back in 1986 for William Lyon — a US Air Force general and real estate magnate. His legacy turned out to be not only grand in scale but also quite extravagant.

On the territory of over 16 hectares, there are orange groves, three guest houses, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a stable, and even a helipad. But the main highlight is a separate auto museum pavilion covering over 2,000 m². Lyon’s collection included up to a hundred cars, though about 80 were stored in the museum itself. For their maintenance, the estate features a private car wash, a service station, and a full-fledged gas station.

The mansion is also equipped with real automotive staff: a personal mechanic was employed to maintain the condition of the retro exhibits. And although William Lyon himself passed away in 2020, his collection and estate have preserved the spirit of passion for cars, precision, and high style.

According to US media reports, the current seller is the general’s son. Good thing it’s not the head of the TCC. Though who knows…
