by Sales of new cars in Ukraine in January plummeted, while there is growth in the “secondary” market, and its pace is impressive. In January, 51.5 thousand used cars were registered for the first time. 
For comparison, in December only 28.4 thousand were registered. According to Ukravtoprom, the share of used cars in the market was 90%. Of course, a significant portion of these cars (about 80%) were customs-cleared cars with Euro plates.
Interestingly, 71% of imported cars are diesel. The most popular car brands are Volkswagen (11,144 units), Opel (5.5 thousand), Audi (4.5 thousand), Renault (3701) and BMW (3678). As you probably understand, Audi and BMW are mainly the customs-cleared ‘Euro plates’. The most popular used cars of 2019 were named:
