We already wrote about the most expensive car accidents in Ukraine in 2019, and now it’s time to look at other countries. Of course, many supercars were wrecked worldwide last year, so there was plenty to choose from. You can’t look at these accidents without tears, as they involved truly rare and exclusive cars.
Chevrolet Corvette C8
The new Chevrolet Corvette 2020 also got into an accident even before official sales began. The mid-engine coupe was wrecked during tests in California.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Two of the newest Shelby GT500 coupes were involved in an accident without driving a single kilometer. A transporter carrying the 760-horsepower muscle cars overturned near Detroit.
Lamborghini Huracan
Another accident in California: an American borrowed a friend’s Lamborghini supercar for a ride, caught a roof with it, and disappeared from the scene.
Lamborghini Urus
Last year, several Lamborghini crossovers were wrecked worldwide, and one was even sold after the accident.
However, we were impressed by the accident in Australia: a 14-year-old boy stole a Subaru Forester and rammed it into a Lamborghini Urus.
Lamborghini Diablo
Again Australia and again Lamborghini. The iconic Diablo worth half a million dollars was wrecked immediately after purchase. Now, the expensive supercar will have to undergo lengthy repairs.
A Million-Dollar Accident
The Audi Q7 owner incurred significant expenses after crashing into 11 cars at once, including the McLaren MP4-12C, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, and 911 Turbo. The expensive accident occurred in an elite area of London.
Koenigsegg CCXR
A unique hypercar worth 2 million dollars was wrecked on flat ground in Mexico City. The 1,000-horsepower Koenigsegg CCXR slipped in a turn and crashed into a pole.
Bugatti Veyron
American comedian Tracy Morgan bought a Bugatti Veyron Gran Sport roadster for $2.5 million, and just a couple of hours later, a girl in a Honda CR-V scratched it.
They asked for 200 thousand dollars to cover the scratches.
Ferrari F50
During a supercar parade, the rarest Ferrari F50 was wrecked. Only 399 of these 520-horsepower supercars were made. The F50 caught up with a more modern Ferrari 488 Pista.
Pagani Huayra BC and Porsche 911 GT2
The most expensive accident of 2019 undoubtedly occurred in Italy’s Monza. A Porsche 911 GT2 driver took a turn too wide and knocked over an exclusive Pagani Huayra BC.
The cost of the two cars is $3 million.
