by The new Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 are the coolest American cars of 2020. Naturally, the two super powerful cars were eager to be compared in drag racing. Such rivalry between the Corvette and Mustang has been going on for more than half a century. 
Of course, the 2020 Shelby GT500 is noticeably more powerful – its 5.2-liter supercharged V8 delivers a whopping 760 hp, while the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 of the Corvette develops only 495 hp. However, the Corvette is approximately 350 kg lighter, so it should not be clear-cut to award the victory to the Mustang.
