The iSeeCars website conducted a used car market study. Americans determined how significantly various car models depreciate.
Experts analyzed 5 million car sale listings of three-year-old vehicles. They calculated how much each model lost in value when resold. Strangely enough, the top ten most illiquid models are all large business-class sedans.
Not a single crossover made it to the list, nor are there any budget models.
The Most Illiquid Cars of Today:
1 Acura RLX – 55.8% depreciation
2 Lincoln MKZ – 55.6%
3 Mercedes-Benz E-Class – 55.4%
4 Jaguar XF – 54.8%
5 Cadillac XTS – 54.5%
6 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid – 54.5%
7 KIA Quoris – 54.4%
8 BMW 5-Series – 53.8%
9 Cadillac CTS – 53.8%
10 Audi A6 – 53.3%
By the way, not so long ago iSeeCars researched the liquidity of five-year-old cars and the results were different.
