Most Popular Cars in Ukraine for the First Half of the Year

In the first six months of 2019, 39.5 thousand new cars were sold in Ukraine. According to the association “Ukravtoprom”, this improved last year’s figure by just 13 cars. The leader of the first half of the year was the Renault brand with 5,719 cars sold and a sales growth of 1.5 times. The second place was taken by Toyota (5,646 cars), and the third by Kia (3,320). The most popular car of 2019 in Ukraine was the Kia Sportage: it found 2,479 buyers in six months.

Interestingly, the car market had long shown a decline compared to 2018 and only in June showed significant growth. Specifically, 7.3 thousand new cars were sold in June, which is 12% more than the same period last year. In the TOP-5 for the month were Toyota (1,259 cars), Renault (1,084), Kia (535), Nissan (467), and Hyundai (447).
