by In the first month of 2020, the demand for electric cars and hybrids in Ukraine significantly increased. According to the association «Ukravtoprom», in January, Ukrainians purchased 786 hybrids (twice as many as in January 2019) and 587 electric cars (37% more).
As before, used cars dominate both segments. In particular, 94% of electric cars and 62% of hybrids are used.
The leading models for January were also named. The most popular electric car in Ukraine remains the Nissan Leaf, accounting for about half of the sales. The TOP-5 most popular electric cars are as follows:
1 Nissan Leaf – 216 cars sold;
2 Tesla Model S – 58;
3 Tesla Model 3 – 41;
4 Tesla Model X – 34;
5 Chevrolet Bolt – 32.
The most popular hybrids in Ukraine for January 2020:
1 Toyota RAV4 – 178 cars sold;
2 Toyota Camry – 76;
3 Toyota Prius – 70;
4 Ford Fusion – 67;
5 Chevrolet Volt – 63.
