by Electric car sales in Ukraine are breaking records again. In the first six months of 2018, 1915 electric cars have already been sold. According to the association «Ukravtoprom», this is one and a half times more than the figure for the first half of 2017.
As you probably understand, such a hype in demand is caused by the cancellation of excise duty and VAT on electric cars until December 31, 2018. By the way, 85% of all imported electric cars are used.
The most popular electric cars in Ukraine for 2018 have been named:
- Nissan Leaf – 1282 cars;
- BMW i3 – 129;
- Tesla Model S – 95;
- Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive – 57;
- Smart ForTwo Electric drive – 50;
- Tesla Model X – 46;
- Kia Soul EV – 37;
- Toyota RAV4 EV – 33;
- Volkswagen e-Golf – 31;
- Fiat 500e and Hyundai Ioniq Electric – 26 each.
