Some Ukrainians believe that only crossovers and SUVs can be seen on our roads. But in fact, this is a global trend – SUV class vehicles are gaining popularity around the world.
In the first half of the year (more precisely, in 5 months), Chinese brands literally broke into the list of the most popular crossovers, and the new Haval H6 took the sixth place in the overall global ranking!
The best-selling SUV in the world, according to Focus2move – is the Toyota RAV4.
Most Popular Crossovers
Place in 2018 | Place in 2017 | Model | Sales in January-May 2018 | Compared with January-May 2017 |

2 | 3 | Volkswagen Tiguan | 331,333 | +13.7% |
3 | 2 | Honda CR-V | 276,703 | -7.3% |
4 | 4 | Hyundai Tucson | 236,226 | -0.1% |
5 | 5 | Nissan Qashqai | 224,647 | +5.2% |
6 | 6 | Haval H6 | 200,964 | +4.8% |
7 | 10 | Mazda CX-5 | 197,555 | +22.6% |

9 | 8 | Kia Sportage | 192,732 | +7.5% |
10 | 51 | Baojun 510 | 189,709 | +162.8% |
And where is the Nissan X-Trail? It is, in fact, in 12th place, and this is not entirely accurate. After all, X-Trail and Rogue are essentially the same vehicle, just for different markets.
This means that if researchers did not separate them and combined them, the Nissan crossover could have overtaken the RAV4, taking the top position in the list of the best-selling crossovers in the world.
