Tuning of the Mercedes S-Class by Mansory or WALD is, of course, impressive, although there are even brighter specimens. For example, the tuning shop Eurowise from the USA turned an old Mercedes into a crazy lowered hot rod.
The base was a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 S W108. Not only was the clearance reduced, but also the roof was lowered. In addition, a front spoiler from BMW E38 Alpina appeared.
However, the most original detail is the rear doors that open against the direction of movement.
The interior trim combines leather, suede, and carbon. The three-spoke steering wheel was borrowed from the modern Mercedes C63 AMG. Also, there is a central lock, power windows, a powerful audio system, and Bluetooth.
The standard 2.8-liter six-cylinder engine did not provide the desired dynamics, so a 5.3-liter Chevrolet V8, supplemented with a huge Borg Warner S366 turbine, was placed under the hood.
A 6-speed Tremec T56 manual transmission, like in the Corvette and Mustang, was also installed.
The Mercedes W108 received an air suspension, and now it is a lowrider capable of jumping. Brembo brakes with a diameter of 380 mm and 18-inch custom wheels appeared.
