The first photos of the McLaren Elva have been presented. The limited track supercar McLaren will be produced in a series of 399 cars at a price of $1.69 million.
The roadster is based on a lightweight carbon monocoque. The McLaren Elva is named after the model of the 60s. It is similar to its predecessor in design and, like it, has no windshield.
Notably, the driver and passenger are not required to wear helmets. The car has advanced active aerodynamics, diverting air flow away from the cabin and creating a virtual windshield.
The interior features sport bucket seats, separated by a central tunnel, a virtual dashboard, and a large touchscreen in the form of a tablet. Leather and carbon are used in the trim.
Familiar from McLaren Senna, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine has been slightly upgraded to increase its power to 815 hp.
The roadster is faster than its sibling: acceleration to 100 km/h takes less than 3 seconds, and to 200 km/h, 6.7 seconds. Its top speed exceeds 320 km/h.
