A video featuring the new SSC Tuatara has appeared online. The hyperspeed hypercar is finally ready for production and will soon compete for the world speed record for production cars.
We have repeatedly written about this impressive coupe. It has been in development for almost ten years, but it was worth it. It is expected that the maximum speed of the SSC Tuatara will exceed 480 km/h, making it the fastest car in the world.
The futuristic hypercar is equipped with a 5.9-liter twin-turbo V8, which produces 1350 hp on gasoline and 1750 hp on E85 ethanol. Acceleration to a hundred takes about 2.3 seconds.
For reference, the current record holder Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ has only 1600 hp. Additionally, it weighs nearly two tons, whereas the Tuatara weighs only 1247 kg.
The SSC Tuatara will be released in a limited series of 100 cars.
The price starts at 1.6 million dollars.
