by In the UK, a world speed record for tractors was set. Motorcyclist Guy Martin on a specially prepared J.C. Bamford Excavators Fastrac tractor reached 166.7 km/h. 
The run was conducted on the runway of an airfield, and the achievement was recorded by representatives of the Guinness Book of Records. By the way, the previous record (140.4 km/h) was set a year ago by The Stig from Top Gear.
To reach such a speed, the tractor was lightened and its aerodynamics were improved. Specialists from the Williams Formula 1 team participated in the upgrades. The power of the 7.2-liter turbodiesel was increased to 1000 hp, and the maximum torque to 2440 Nm.
