At the RM Sotheby’s auction, the legendary James Bond car was sold. The 1964 Aston Martin DB5 from the films ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Thunderball’ was sold for $6.4 million – the price of two Bugatti Chirons.
This is the very Aston Martin of agent 007 with a lot of gadgets. Machine guns and battering rams are mounted in its front bumper, and oil is spilled and a smoke screen is set at the back.
The car also has a retractable bulletproof shield and interchangeable number plates.
There is a separate glove compartment for a gun in the interior. But the most interesting feature of the Aston Martin DB5 is, of course, the ejector seat.
